Why would you want a membership plugin?

Maybe you are offering your book/ebook as a lead-in to your course, software or other products/services.

Maybe you want to redirect the access to download your publication after purchase.

Maybe you want to create a forum – for free or for a fee – to keep members updated about your topic.

There are various reasons for wanting a membership access area on your blog, but for the most part the software or plugins can be quite difficult and time consuming to setup and admin and are bloated with options and details that you don’t really need.

If you are building a membership access to your main or sub-blog – I recommend wordpress member champ. It is easy and fast to install, setup and use membership plugin.

I’ve tried many of the membership plugins – wasted lots of time and honestly – for the majority of my blogs wp-mc is more than sufficient.
